2017 -  Present

Website Manager / Online Services Manager

 

As a member of the Digital Team at Relevant Radio, my task and accomplishments have been broad.

  • Successfully completed a complete web re-design in 5 months while switching from Drupal to WordPress CMS with customized WordPress theme and plug-ins.
  • Created initiatives for content that resulted in a 10x plus increase in web traffic in 24 months. (From 200,000 page views to 2,000,000 page views)
  • Integrated WordPress CMS with Constant Contact, and then with Active Campaign email systems. As a result of these integrations, our email list grew 7x over a 2 year period.
  • Designed, created and managed podcasting systems for a radio network.
  • Designed, built and tested more than 50 marketing landing pages.
  • Created and implemented policies and procedures for 11 producers and 6 content creators to create, add, and edit content to website and app.
  • Created policies and procedures between various departments to get information on the web in a timely manner.
  • Implemented advertising workflows(?) to increase sales of underwriting and advertisements on the website.
  • Managed day to day operations of the site with various vendors, consultants and team members.
  • Successfully managed more than 20 pledge drives for non-profit Radio Network.

Website Manager / IT Manager

 

Working first in the IT Manager role, in 2014 I began to transition to the Web Manager role.

As Web Manager

  • Migrated website to WordPress CMS.
  • Created an automated podcasting system that required minimal interaction of show producers to make content appear in podcasting feeds on a daily basis.
  • Managed junior designer and various vendors and consultants.

As I.T. Manager

  • Migrated organization from consumer grade computers to business class systems including desktops, laptops and servers.
  • Built and managed networking infrastructure including routers, firewalls and wireless access points.
  • Established purchasing workflow and employee loadout for computer systems.
  • Established and implemented site wide security initiatives, saving the organization more than $50,000
  • Created lab system for the installation of systems at remote site with minimal work at remote location. All network and systems integration done in the lab, and put in place in the field.
  • Improved remote system accessibility by implementing backup internet (4G Wireless) at all remote locations to maintain control even when main internet was out due to natural disaster or weather conditions.
  • Created and managed IT infrastructure for 30+ remote, autonomous, radio stations and 25 employees.
